The team are once again in the design seat and we thank Director, Kelly for continuing to offer her services pro-bono. Hats off to Racheal who illustrated our Octoman last year, he certainly gave our festival the SHIPWRECKED face we envisioned. Her illustrative hat is back on, with this year's theme being even more colourful and CARNIVAL crazy!

The guys have been behind us since our inaugural year back in 2014 and we certainly wouldn't look as fabulous without them!

Our hats go off to Drew and Garry who have been sponsors since BBTC's inception. From our 'Blue Girl Barge' to parking signs, stage theming and stickers, these boys are there to produce our masterpieces and work around the clock to make us picture perfect! And all for love!

They barged on in back in 2015 and brought our first ever water stage alive with their country music showdown and they've been back every year since! We've had a floating stage, half-pipe and circus, with a surprise in store for 2018!

Unique theming of our festival is an extremely important factor, as we aim to create individual spaces and worlds to bring a sense of the unexpected to all visiting.

A massive shout out to our local Burleigh family Benn, Hannah and little Lennox who will be bringing a touch of luxe to our Brazilian Carnival themed BBTC18.

Alan has a first hand insight into the high costs involved in organising an event, especially of our scale, having been involved in the operation of many free community events and we're thankful for their contribution.

Our battle is scheduled for kick off at the Currumbin Creek Tavern on Friday 14th October from 7.30pm. It's one of our favourite 'Side Street' events that's been running since 2014, with past battlers Katie Who and The Scrimshaw Four making it into our winner's wall of fame!

The winner of our 'Battle of the Buskers' not only walks away with cash and a recording package, they also get granted a free ride ticket straight to the grand final of the prestigious Bluesfest Busking competition!

When we approached organiser Anita Collenbrander, she was delighted to collaborate and we couldn't believe her enthusiasm from the onset! This wonder woman knows all there is to know about busking, so we've also signed her to the judging panel of our Battle!

Their Bluesfest Busking 2018 grommet winners, Neon Inferno are also booked to play on our line-up!

Does anyone think of the waste that's accumulated over the two days and who's hard at work behind the scenes cleaning the toilet and bin facilities? It's been Cindy's dad the last two years but this year thanks to Diana Hartung, he can put his feet up and enjoy the show!

Diana will be kitting out our head volunteer Tim and his team with the gear and equipment needed to keep our green clean!
